Tea Cozies

I got really interested in making tea cozies a few months ago, then my dad's friend who plays the violin was getting married and needed a cozy for her tea pot as wedding gift.

I made this one

which has multiple design flaws:

1. I used popsicle sticks to try and get the bow and neck to stand up as the "handle" to pull the cozy off the pot. I should have used a skinny dowel that reached all the way down the half circle

2. I had to totally remake the bow side after finishing it the first time, because I forgot about the whole mirror image, front to back thing.

3. If I do another, I won't have the bow or neck sticking off and all of the violin will fit in the half circle.

For no real reason other than a love for tea, I made these for myself:

I broke my Singer sewing machine that I rescued from a trash pile in 2002 on that last cozy, hence the ragged hand stitching in between a crazy green zig zag stitch.
No judging on Little Beets, right? Nothing but love?
