CD Art

At some point this summer, my husband and I were lamenting the loss of art covers on LP albums and CD cases. For some reason we connect the majority of our emotional experience with certain songs with the cover art of the album. And all of our cd cases were sitting, empty, in a bag in the basement (as a result of a space-saving effort on my part to put all of the discs in a big binder. Alphabatized, of course).

So we have a half-finished basement where Brian hosts some student groups and I thought, hey, let's spruce it up a bit.
Nothing a little foam board (on sale at the H-Lo) and spray adhesive didn't fix.

This was my first experience with spray adhesive and I must say I'm addicted. Maybe it's the smell. But I do recommend wearing latex gloves on both hands if you are working on a big project and/or trying to finish in between or around meal preparation. I'm just sayin'.

I think I'm going to have to copy this. May be the only way to compromise the damn KISS crap. it's art, right? what an awesome idea. and the slipcovers are still some of my faves. except for maybe the covers you made to cover that gorgeous couch in our apartment. . . man, was that 50 years ago?

This is a cool idea. However, Bess... if you make a KISS collage, I may disown you as a friend.
